In that sense, a recent summary of sustainable city characteristics by Harvard Professor Joan Busquets provides considerable food for thought and exploration.

The planting system and vegetation on the living roofs act as insulation and will reduce heating and cooling costs by as much as 20%.

Las casas viñas de las zonas rurales de El Puerto serán puestas en valor para atraer turistas desde este mismo otoño. Las áreas de Fomento y Agricultura del Ayuntamiento tienen previsto comenzar a señalizar los caminos de El Tejar y Araníbar para dar forma a una ruta turística con la que pretenden recuperar la faceta de la vitivinícola de El Puerto como un gancho más para los visitantes que a su vez consiga paliar la fuerte estacionalización del turismo en la ciudad.
