BCIE lanza financiamiento por la economía verde

El Banco Centroamericano de Integración Económica, BCIE, hizo público que hay un monto de $1.49 millones de dólares para atraer Inversiones que sean amigables con la biodiversidad en Centroamérica. El monto está incluido en el Programa Regional de Garantías de Crédito y será en apoyo a la micro, pequeña y mediana empresa, (Mipyme).

Según informa Business Green, una industria de carne vacuna medioambiental, social y económicamente responsable es el motivo por el cual algunas de las compañías más grandes del mundo e importantes ONG han creado esta organización. McDonald’s, Walmart, Cargill y WWF son algunos de los socios fundadores de la Mesa Redonda Mundial por una carne de vacuno Sostenible, que se registró como organización sin ánimo de lucro la semana pasada.

Costa Rica beckons travelers with high score for fun and life satisfaction

There is new fascination with the so-called good life in Costa Rica after experts boast strong social, human and natural capital.

According to a newly released study, “Costa Rica receives the highest score for life satisfaction” worldwide. For those who visit this small country, they are finding its “built for tourism,” states the country’s latest tourism and travel report that points to a “$2.2 billion per year tourism industry.” The country also boasts that “Costa Rica is the most visited nation in the Central American region, with two million visitors reported annually since the country’s good times began in 2008. In turn, “tourism now earns more foreign exchange than bananas and coffee combined,”
