[BP] Architectures’ M9-C Development is an Integrative, Energy-Efficient Mixed-Use Facility in Paris

[BP] Architectures’ expansive new mixed-use project in Paris includes social housing, classrooms, a theatre, underground parking and opens out onto a lush park. Located on the edge of Paris’s 13th arrondissement, the M9-C project addresses the issue of density in a city with many complicated redevelopment sites. [BP] Architectures responded to the environmental and neighborhood context to design an energy efficient building that provides an array of services on-site for its residents.

El arquitecto José Martín Schmädke, integrante del grupo INICIATIVA URBANA -centrado en desarrollar proyectos e investigaciones en el campo del diseño urbano sustentable- ha compartido con nosotros una síntesis del instrumento de equilibrio urbano planteado para la nueva normativa de edificación de la ciudad de San Luis, Argentina, llamado BRU BONOS DE RESPONSABILIDAD URBANA.

Jose Dominic, Kerala’s Sustainable Tourism Visionary

 

It’s a hot, tropical afternoon in Kumarakom, in the backwaters of Kerala. I am sitting on the verandah of a cottage in Coconut Lagoon, which is a nature resort and the brainchild of Jose Dominic, CEO of the CGH Earth Group of hotels. I am watching turtles trying to climb out of a backwater canal, biting on some plants, and falling into the water again. Boats pass by. Traditional Kerala houses dot the property, with ours being one of them.
